Routes, schedules, and locations
Where does Shuttle Buddy currently travel?
Shuttle Buddy currently provides scheduled service between Shuttle Buddy Headquarters in Fayetteville and Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU). Downtown Raleigh and Workforce Express service are planned routes marked “Coming Soon.” They cannot be booked until a launch date, schedule, and fares are posted.
Where is the Fayetteville pickup and drop-off location?
Shuttle Buddy Headquarters is at 5419 Raeford Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28304, next to DriveTime and across from Lewis Chapel Church.
Where do I meet the shuttle at RDU Terminal 1?
Terminal 1 pickup and drop-off are at the outer curb outside the main entrance, Zone 3 under the Courtesy Shuttles sign.
Where do I meet the shuttle at RDU Terminal 2?
Go downstairs outside baggage claim, cross to the second curb, and meet the shuttle at Zone 7 under the red Courtesy Shuttle sign.
How early should I arrive?
Arrive at least 15 minutes early. The shuttle leaves at the time printed on your ticket and cannot be held for late passengers.
Does Shuttle Buddy operate 24 hours?
Shuttle operations and phone support are available 24 hours a day. Transportation is scheduled, so passengers must select an available departure and follow the time on their ticket. Staff move in and out of the office throughout the day and night; the office is not represented as continuously staffed.
Booking, fares, and passengers
How do I book a trip?
Use the trip finder or a “Book Now” button on the website. Reservations and online payments are completed through Shuttle Buddy’s Betterez booking platform. Select the route, date, departure, and every passenger type before checkout.
What passenger types are available?
The booking system offers Standard Passenger, Military / Student, Child, and Infant (Under 3) tickets. Military and student riders should be prepared to show qualifying identification.
Do children under three ride free?
Yes. Every infant under three must have a $0 Infant (Under 3) ticket so a seat is reserved. An infant ticket must be booked with a Standard Passenger or Military / Student ticket. A parent or guardian must bring and use an age-appropriate car seat; Shuttle Buddy does not provide car seats.
What are the current airport shuttle fares?
Current one-way RDU fares are $60 for a standard adult passenger, $49.50 for a qualifying military or student passenger, and $30 for a child age 3–14. Infants under three ride free with a required ticket. The fare shown during checkout controls if a promotion or approved adjustment applies.
What forms of payment are accepted?
Major credit and debit cards supported by the Betterez checkout are accepted. Payment is required when booking. Betterez processes online payments for Shuttle Buddy LLC.
Cancellations, changes, and missed trips
What is the cancellation policy?
24-hour booking grace period: A reservation may be cancelled for a full refund within 24 hours after it was booked, provided the cancellation is completed before the final 24 hours leading up to departure.
More than 48 hours before departure: After the grace period, cancellation carries a $25 fee. The reservation may instead be rescheduled without a change fee, subject to availability and any fare difference.
Within 48 hours of departure: The reservation is nonrefundable, except that a reservation newly booked during this period may be cancelled for a full refund before the trip enters its final 24 hours. Once departure is less than 24 hours away, the reservation is nonrefundable.
Can I reschedule instead of cancelling?
When the trip is more than 48 hours away, a reservation outside the booking grace period may be rescheduled without a change fee, subject to seat availability and any fare difference. Contact Shuttle Buddy for assistance.
What happens if I miss my shuttle?
No-call/no-show reservations are nonrefundable and non-reschedulable. Contact Shuttle Buddy immediately; a seat on another departure is not guaranteed.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
Contact Shuttle Buddy as soon as the delay is known and provide flight-delay documentation if requested. Shuttle Buddy will make a reasonable effort to place you on the next available departure at no additional charge, but a particular departure cannot be guaranteed.
What if Shuttle Buddy cancels a trip?
If Shuttle Buddy cancels a trip, affected passengers will be offered an accessible alternative service, another available departure, or a full refund, as appropriate.
Accessibility and accommodations
Does Shuttle Buddy serve passengers who use wheelchairs?
Yes. Wheelchair-accessible service is available at no additional charge. During checkout, select “Wheelchair-Accessible Vehicle Required” so the appropriate vehicle and securement space can be assigned. If a specific accessible vehicle is temporarily unavailable, Shuttle Buddy will contact you to arrange an accessible alternative or another departure.
How do I request another disability-related accommodation?
Call 910-936-3784 or email Info@goshuttlebuddy.com when booking or as soon as the need is known. Shuttle Buddy does not charge an added fare for a required accessibility accommodation.
Are service animals permitted?
Yes. Trained service animals may accompany their handlers without a pet fee. The animal must remain under the handler’s control. Contact Shuttle Buddy if additional boarding assistance is needed.
What if I have trouble using the website?
Contact us by phone or email and we will assist with route information, accessibility requests, and booking. You may also review the Accessibility Statement.
Baggage, pets, food, and parking
How much baggage is included?
Each ticket includes one personal item, one carry-on bag, and one checked bag. Each additional bag is $10 and is subject to available storage space.
Can I travel with a pet?
Yes. The pet fee is $25. Pets must be secured in an appropriate travel kennel and remain well behaved. The pet fee does not apply to trained service animals.
Can I bring food or drinks?
Light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted. Alcohol, smoking, vaping, and illegal substances are prohibited onboard. Passengers are responsible for cleaning up their area.
Can I leave my vehicle at Shuttle Buddy Headquarters?
Yes. Customer parking is available and monitored. Staff are in and out of the office during the 24-hour operating period, but parking remains at the vehicle owner’s risk. Shuttle Buddy LLC is not responsible for theft, damage, loss, or property left in a parked vehicle.
Upcoming services and alerts
When will Downtown Raleigh service begin?
The route is coming soon. Stops are planned for South Fayetteville Street near the Residence Inn Raleigh Downtown and South Glenwood Avenue near AC Hotel Raleigh Downtown. The final launch date, schedule, fares, and reservation rules will be posted before booking opens.
What is Workforce Express?
Workforce Express is a planned commuter service between Fayetteville and Amazon Garner (RDU1). Shuttle Buddy is an independent transportation provider and is not affiliated with or sponsored by Amazon. Proposed pricing and booking rules remain subject to change until launch.
What are the app and route launch lists?
They are separate, optional email lists. The App Alert List shares updates about the upcoming Shuttle Buddy app. The Route Launch List shares Workforce Express launch information. Joining either list does not subscribe you to marketing text messages, and you may unsubscribe from emails at any time.
Is Wi-Fi available?
Wi-Fi is not currently offered. Vehicle amenities can vary; contact Shuttle Buddy if a particular amenity is important for your trip.
